Sunday River Offers Kids Pay Their Age Day Sunday, Dec. 18
Monday, December 12, 2005

NEWRY, Maine (Dec. 12, 2005) – Sunday River is calling out the kids on Sunday, Dec. 18 with the first Kids Pay Their Age Day of the season. All skiers and riders ages 6-18 are eligible. Kids under 6 will not be eligible for Kids Pay Their Age Day because their lift tickets are always free at Sunday River.

Sunday River currently has three terrain parks open to the public and has begun snowmaking operations on the Superpipe, which the resort hopes to open in the coming weeks.

Sunday River is hosting Children’s Festival Week starting Jan. 8. Children’s Festival Week offers free skiing, lodging and learning for kids plus a jam-packed youth oriented entertainment schedule with help from Nickelodeon.

Packages start at $85 per night for the adults while accompanying kids can receive free skiing, lodging, full-day Perfect Turn clinics and rentals. Day care is available during Children’s Festival Week at half-price. Guests are urged to call (800) 543-2SKI to reserve their Children’s Festival Week package. Lodging check in for the Festival Week begins on Sunday, Jan. 8.

Children’s Festival Week at Sunday River will give kids the chance to meet Nickelodeon characters SpongeBob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer. An exclusive line of Nickelodeon winter apparel will be available at the Sunday River Sports retail location starting in January, as well as at fellow American Skiing Company resorts.
