The snow was great on Telstar's 4 kilometer course thanks to Telstar coach Gary Wight, who spent from 2:00 am until about 7:00am preparing it. There were 36 teams entered it the boys relay(some schools had multiple teams), 24 teams entered in the mixed relay, and 28 teams entered in the girls relay, totaling over 150 skiers!

The boys relay was forerun by David Chamberlain, who had just placed 2nd and 4th out west and received an invite to the World Championships from the US ski team. David is an alumni of Mt. Blue high school and Bates College. He currently works and skis in the Bethel area where he is employed at Gould Academy.
