What's in it For You?
At present, all positions are
volunteer. Many of our writers are inspiring journalists and
are looking for opportunities to become recognized and
published. We proudly give many that opportunity. Other
staff personnel are looking for a chance to learn more about
Internet business and most just love hunting, fishing, and
being in the outdoors.
As our business grows, so too
will you. This is an opportunity for you to learn, for us to
continue our growth to the top and as we grow stronger and
our revenues grow, we will be able to begin offering paid
positions. This could be your break to get your foot in the
door.
Who Are We Looking For?
The positions we are seeking
are for energetic, dedicated people looking to advance in
the field of interest. The amount of effort you put in
depends upon the amount of reward you would like to receive.
As an example, if you are interested in becoming a writer
you can submit stories as often as you would like - one a
month or one each day.
As a staff member, you will be
treated to the benefits that come our way - free hats,
T-shirts, products, participation in product reviews, any
applicable store discounts and many benefits associated with
being a part of a recognizable business that promotes
outdoor recreation.
Below is a list of the
positions that we are seeking. If you have an interest in
any of the positions, email me at:

Writers - in all the
fields of outdoor sports and recreation. We need writers for
golf, hiking, camping and RV, hunting, fishing, skiing, and
much more.
Proof Readers - we are
looking for anyone interested in proof reading and editing
stories and articles submitted to us by readers and staff.
Photographers and photo
editors - We presently have a chief editor but are
always in need of anyone willing to submit their work for
publication and recognition and anyone interested in photo
editing.
Web Designers - we need
people who can assist in design and web site maintenance.
Marketing and Promotion
Personnel - these positions are varied. We are looking
for people who would like to go out into the world of
recreation and sport, promote our business and participate
in events and reviews. Maybe play a round of golf at a new
or existing resort and write up a stunning story about your
experiences.
Forums Administrators and
Moderators - thousands of people enjoy spending time in
forums communicating with others of the same interests.
Maybe you would like to become more involved as an
administrator or a moderator. Perhaps you would like to
create a new forum just for golfers or hikers.
News and Information -
if you are interested in gathering news and information that
is important to our readers, this is a job for you. Perhaps
you would like to travel to events and write stories and
press releases to our publications. You could attend public
hearings on matters dealing with Maine Department of Inland
Fisheries and Wildlife and be the first to gather related
information and publish it in our news sections.
These are only some of the
possibilities available through Maine Outdoors Today. If you
can think of an area of your expertise or interest, email me
and let's discuss it.
Email me at
tom@maineoutdoorstoday.com with your ideas and take a
few minutes to tell me about yourself and any experience you
may have in related fields of interest.
Thank you,
