Public Meetings Set To Assist in ReThinking the Vermont Agency of

Public Meetings Set To Assist in ReThinking the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources
WATERBURY, VT - In an effort to understand the values Vermonters hold relative to their natural environment, and to ensure that the Agency is reflecting those values in its day-to-day actions, the Agency of Natural Resources has embarked on a process to ReThink the way it serves the Citizens of Vermont and sustains and enhances the States Natural Resources.
The Legislature has created a Natural Resources Reorganization Committee (NRRC) to oversee the ReThinking process at ANR.
With this goal in mind, THREE PUBLIC HEARINGS HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED BY THE NRRC AROUND THE STATE IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER.
The second public meeting will be held October 18th from 7-9 pm at Hartford High School Cafeteria, 37 Highland Avenue. White River Junction The public is encouraged to attend and provide their ideas. The discussion will focus on the following two questions:

1) Of all the work that the Agency of Natural Resources does and is charged to do, what is most important to you?

2) Please describe three specific wishes for the future of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources.

The next public meeting dates currently scheduled are:

Oct. 18, 2005        7:00 - 9:00 pm       White River Jct.
Nov. 8, 2005        7:00 - 9:00 pm       Burlington
