VISIT A FISH HATCHERY ON MAY 28

CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire Fish and Game's six state fish
hatcheries welcome the public to stop in for a visit on Hatchery Open House Day,
Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the family and see how
Fish and Game raises nearly a million trout that it stocks into streams
and lakes throughout the state every year.

New Hampshire State Fish Hatcheries include the following facilities:
   * Berlin Fish Hatchery -- At the end of York Pond Road off Route 110
in Milan; (603) 449-3412;
   * Milford Fish Hatchery -- 408 North River Road in Milford; (603)
673-1416;
   * New Hampton Fish Hatchery -- Route 132, New Hampton; (603)
744-3709;
   * Powder Mill Fish Hatchery -- 228 Merrymeeting Lake Road, New
Durham; (603) 859-2041;
   * Twin Mountain Fish and Wildlife Center -- Route 3 between Twin
Mountain and Whitefield; (603) 846-5108;
   * Warren Fish and Wildlife Center -- Old Route 25 in Warren; (603)
764-8593.

The state's fish hatchery facilities are open to the public year-round,
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Hatcheries at Twin Mountain, Warren,
Berlin and Milford offer interactive exhibits as well as tours and an
up-close experience with fish -- from fingerlings to monster trout, ready to
stock.

The N.H. Fish and Game Department is the guardian of the state's fish,
wildlife and marine resources. Working in partnership with the public,
the Department conserves, manages and protects these resources and
their habitats.  Visit http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us.
