HUNTERS -- YOU CAN HELP THE HUNGRY

CONCORD, N.H. -- If you've had a successful hunting season and your
freezer is chock full of meat, why not share the fall harvest with New
Hampshire's hungry? Hunters can help the less fortunate by donating meat
to the "Hunt for the Hungry" program coordinated by the New Hampshire
Food Bank in Manchester. The program collects donations of whole or
processed game animals for distribution to more than 270 food pantries, soup
kitchens, homeless shelters and group homes statewide.

Last year, Hunt for the Hungry took in more than 1,300 pounds of
donated deer, bear, moose, duck and other game meat. The program offers
packaging instructions and can pick up donations. To donate game meat, call
Michele Garron of the New Hampshire Food Bank at (603) 669-9725.
